Infusion Therapies
Infusion therapy is for you if your condition is so severe that it can’t be treated effectively with oral medications.
Typically, “infusion therapy” means that a drug is administered intravenously. Homecare Dimensions provides intravenous care at home. Prescription drugs commonly administered via infusion include antibiotic, antifungal, antiviral, chemotherapy, hydration, pain management and parenteral nutrition.
Homecare Dimensions commonly treats infections that are unresponsive to oral antibiotics, cancer and cancer-related pain, dehydration, gastrointestinal diseases or disorders which prevent normal functioning of the gastrointestinal system, and more. Other conditions treated with specialty infusion therapies may include cancers, congestive heart failure, Crohn’s Disease, hemophilia, immune deficiencies, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and more.
In order to qualify for infusion therapy, you must:
- Have a secondary insurance besides Medicare , as Medicare doesn’t cover the cost of medicine
- Be or have a willing and able caregiver to administer drugs
- Have a central line must already inserted
